Purpose and nature of the service

Argos Atlas is a cartographic viewer that aggregates and displays, on an interactive map, public traffic cameras published by official bodies, together with infrastructure and territory context layers. The site acts as a re-publisher of open official feeds: it does not install, operate or manage any cameras of its own, and applies no processing to the images beyond their geographic placement and presentation on the map. The value of the service lies in the aggregation, cross-referencing and visualisation of dispersed public sources, which constitutes original content owned by the operator.

Accounts and paid services

The pages of this site can be read without an account and at no cost, and the map is used with a free user account. In addition, the service offers a paid subscription layer, ARGOS PRO, with additional features (camera recording, an AI analyst, flight history and the videowall, and those added over time). The conditions governing the account, subscribing, payment, renewal, cancellation and acceptable use of the service are the Terms and conditions, accepted when an account is created, which together with this notice and the privacy policy form the entire agreement between the parties. Subscriptions and passes are sold by Freemius, acting as merchant of record; payment details never pass through this site's servers.

Data sources and licences

Camera images and metadata come from public sources reused under public-sector information reuse rules and under each origin portal's specific licence. The source is always credited and the original image content is never altered. The map context layers (infrastructure and territory) use data from © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL licence — opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl), Natural Earth (public domain) and OurAirports (public domain). Each source retains its own ownership and rights.

Intellectual property

The selection, arrangement, aggregation and presentation of the contents, as well as the Argos Atlas brand, design, interface and software, are owned by the site operator or its licensors and are protected by intellectual and industrial property law. Camera images belong to their respective owning bodies. Personal use and consultation of the service are permitted; any systematic exploitation, reproduction or extraction of the contents requires prior authorisation, without prejudice to the reuse rights covering the underlying public sources.

Disclaimer

Images and data are provided "as is" and "as available", without any guarantee of availability, accuracy, currency, completeness or continuity. The information shown depends entirely on the official sources, which may modify, interrupt or withdraw their feeds at any time. Argos Atlas is not responsible for the information published by the sources, for decisions taken on the basis of it, for service interruptions, or for direct or indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site. The service does not constitute advice of any kind and must not be used as a sole source for safety, navigation or emergency decisions.

Third-party links

The site may contain links to third-party resources or services over whose content and policies the operator has no control; their inclusion implies neither endorsement nor assumption of responsibility for them.

Content takedown

Any body owning a camera, or any party with a legitimate reason, may request the removal or rectification of content by writing to the contact address indicated below. Properly identified requests are handled as quickly as possible.

Governing law and operator details

This notice is governed by the law applicable to the site operator. The service is operated by a duly incorporated and registered company. Its full registration details — corporate name, registration number and registered office — are provided free of charge to any party able to show a legitimate interest, and to any judicial, law-enforcement or supervisory authority requesting them, upon request to the contact address.
